I bought this at CVS the other day because I was curious to try it. I'm a MAC NC40 and I bought the 006 Medium Beige. I had a hard time trying to pick the colors. I was going to buy 005 but I thought I'd rather it be a little dark than light. The color matched well but not 100%. 006 is too cool of a beige so that would not work maybe 008 Golden Beige will.
It has a pump which is good and it was $14.00. I have to say that I really like it. It has a sheer consistency but could be used as a heavier coverage as well. I did have to blot about two times during the day but it's nothing out of the ordinary. I would definatly buy this product again. I know they also have a powder, I'd like to try that also.

SSC Color of the Season Fall 2009

These are pictures of the SSC Colors of the Season Kit. I already had a touch of Pink and it's a gorgeous color. You can use Touch of Pink as a highlighter on the brow bone or use it all over with a light hand and it does give you a luminosity to the face. I am loving the color Stormy Night. It's a beautiful bluish grey great for that smokey eye or use as eyeliner. The lipstick Catwalk is such a gorgeous color also. Beautiful beigy nude. The blush Dune looks really neutral. So much so that I don't know if it will show up on my skin. I am a MAC NC40 the GOOD thing about this blush is that it's NOT shimmery it's Matte, which I think would look very pretty on lighter skin. I might even use it as an eyeshadow. The fatline eyeshadow pencil is purple. It looks blue on my picture but it's purple. I'm going to do a makeover on my neice this weekend so that I can show how the colors can be used. I'm not too happy with the pictures but it will give you an idea of what it has so you can see before you buy. The kit is a good kit, with a full size skin treatment and let's not forget the full size mineral foundation and the brush that comes with it. I think this is an excellent value and most of the time, these colors are hard to find on hsn because they belong to the kits. Here is the complete list of the kit:

  1. Ice Age Lip Plumper Clear $22.50
    Pro Mineral Foundation Medium $24.50
  2. Kabuki Brush $16.00
  3. Pro Mineral all over luminosity Touch of Pink $22.50
  4. Pro Lucent Sheer Matte Pressed Powder Campact $18.50
  5. Fat Line eyeshadow Pencil Midnight Star (too new to price)
  6. Pro Mineral Blush in Dune $18.50
  7. Pro Mineral loose eyeshadow in Thunder $12.50
  8. Pro Mineral loose eyeshadow in Stormy Night $12.50
  9. Pro Mineral Lip Stick in Catwalk $14.50
  10. The Mascara $21.50
  11. Full size Total Youth Recall All Over facial firmer $44.50

The total value for this would be $228.00 the kit is well worth the price.

If anyone is interested in buying the following please leave a comment and we can work something out. Selling: Ice Age lip gloss, Promineral foundation in Medium with Brush, Touch of Pink all over luminizer, Fatline pencil in Midnight Star and the Full size Total Youth Recall. Enjoy.

My cousin had an accident August 21st. He had been in the hospital for a month recuperating and getting better. I saw him last Sunday and he looks 100% better. I'm glad for his health improving. Things happen that are out of our control and I have to say that Michael is taking this well. I know it will be a hard road to recovery but I know that Michael is a strong and brilliant young man and will do everything he can to make himself better. His other half Rayleen has also been "THE" person who has been the pillar of strength and determination to get Michael, herself and their baby Kane through this. I know that Rayleen loves Michael with all her heart and that God has special plans for them both. I'm not a very religious person but I do believe in my faith and I do believe that things happen for a reason. God does not give us anything we cannot handle. I will continue to update the health of my cousin when I have more news and more pictures. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

So, I bought the Clean & Clear Blackhead Eraser. I don't really have acne but I do get blackheads especially on my chin so I thought I would give this a try. My skin felt smooth after the first cleaning. It comes with a battery and cleansing clothes. The cleansing clothes lather up nicely and the "eraser" does not hurt when applied to the face. The cloths contain Salicylic Acid 1%. When I rinsed my face my skin felt really refreshed and clean. We'll see how this goes after two weeks.

E.L.F Swatches and Kabuki Brush Review

I bought the Kabuki Brush and the blush because I heard that the blush was a dupe for Nars Orgasm and Laguna. Let me know what you think? The Kabuki is really, really soft. I'll post up later on how it does when I wash it :)

I made this cheesecake for my husband's birthday and it was delicious. I thought I'd share the pic and we also bought some cupcakes from Dots in Pasadena, those were delicious also. I love cooking for my family but the only downside is they begin to want everything that I make for their own birthdays :)

Everyday Minerals Sample Kit and mini haul

Hi beauty addicts

I really like EDM they have wonderful prices and they have a free sample kit where you only pay shipping and handling. I thought I had found my perfect foundation in Winged Butter but it's summer and now I can also wear Buttered Tan. Anyway I'm still trying to find the "right" color foundation. The finishes also make the colors different. For example Winged butter in Original Glo will be different in Matte. Here are the pics of my little haul. Let me know if you have questions.
I don't have any pictures to post but this is just an update. I feel very good today and have been for a couple of days now. My two fav nieces are coming over today and we are going to detox our bodies. My niece is having her quinceanera and needs to have clear skin so we are going to try to achieve that while she's here. That means no junk food, sodas and a very limited amount of red meat. UGH although I love red meat I know it may not be the best for my health. It would not hurt if in this process we could loose some weight too. I'll keep you guys posted as to how this turns out. I might even take a picture of my niece as a before and after to see if the food that she eats and the products she uses will clear her acne.
I was asked as to why I did not demonstrate the SSC colors on my face. I hate having my picture taken I'm far from being vain and I just hate it. What I can do is put the colors on my niece and see how you guys like it on her. I can post some pics later. TTFN

I believe in Karma and I do think that if you do good to others, others will do good to you. People might not understand me or they think they know me but just when they think they do I will give them a run for their money. As of today many things will be different. I vow to only speak and care for those who speak and care for me. I do not wish anybody any harm or ill will in any way shape or form because I know that bad energy will come back to me. So, I will sit back and do the best thing that I do, I will wait. I will wait and let things happen however they will happen but I will NOT be bullied into anything that I do not want to do. I will not be persuaded to change my mind. I guess as long as people talk about you, good or bad the fact is they are talking about you and that means you are still on their mind. I will continue to be myself and I will never ever change for anyone. Either you like me how I am or you don't.
I am no shrinking violet.

Trip to Disneyland

So my husband and I took our 6 year old nephew and his brother my 12 year old godson to Disneyland. It was my nephew Michael's first time at Disneyland and he had such a great time. Here are a couple of pics from that day.

SSC Color of the Seasons Kit

I finally got my kit. I realized it would help other people if I posted pictures of the makeup. I'm really glad this time around that they included two new products that SSC launched recently. The colors IMO are gorgeous. They are extremly wearable for summer. I love, love, love the lipgloss and lipstick. The gloss is the perfect shade on it's on a gorgeous gold color and the lipstick is the perfect peachy nude. The blush is so pretty kind of a peachy bronzy color. The bronze is not too sparkly which is nice for a change. The eye palette has four colors a med matte brown, a light blue that is so pretty it goes on really sheer and a light golden color for highlight and a medium gray with shimmer that can be used as a subtle smokey eye. I'm so glad I got this and will use all of it. I forgot to take a picture of the purse that comes with it, really cute that you can take to the beach. It also comes with the bellarose foundation and an eyeshadow brush and the regular brush for the mineral makeup. Let me know what you think of this collection.

For reference I'm a MAC NC40. But I did the swatches on the inside of my arm which is lighter than an NC40, any questions ask away.

MIA

I know I have been MIA for a while but I have been busy. I guess life just does not stop because I want it too. But I'm back and promise to update this at least once a week. I stopped doing my bracelets because I'm in the process of reorganizing my whole apt. But on the good side here are two pics of chessecakes that I made. They came out PERFECT if I say so myself but the most important part is there were delicious. Enjoy.
