Allure Beauty Box

Well, I received my beauty box and I have to say I am very happy that I purchased it. Yes, it was more money but it was well worth it. This post is going to be picture heavy. I had been wanting to buy the Benefit Porefessional and now I can try it. I was really excited about the skin care. I love ROC moisturizers and I'm also eager to try the ROC primer. The SUKI eye cream I'm also eager but when I saw the consistency I was not to thrilled. I need something really moisturizing and this does not seem that way. There were some acne products and since my skin is behaving right now these are probably going to my nieces. I LOVE the NYX soft matte cream lipstick in Istanbul and the Buxom Gloss in Debbie. I also took a swatch of the colors. The eye shadows I'm not sure I can wear. Lastly the Orly nail polish in Coquette Cutie looks like the perfect pink for summer.

Disney's New Little Mermaid Ride

It's not beauty related or has a recipe but it's Disney and deserves a post. Two weeks ago my family and I went to Disneyland and were able to ride the new Star War Tours and the Little Mermaid ride at California Adventure. The little Mermaid ride is fantastic and worth the wait in my opinion. Here are some pictures I took. Of course, the pictures do not do the ride any justice but just to give you an idea. Once again Disney has a winner.

It was a nice day at Disney but my niece and I got sick after watching World of Color up close and personal. We got so wet from the fountains that I ended up with some viral infection and a nasty cough. I'm still trying to get rid of that, so I'm not feeling to well. But anything Disney puts a smile on my face as I hope these pictures do to you.

Chicken Parmesan

I made this for dinner yesterday. I haven't been feeling well, but good enough to make dinner. Today is a different story though. I sometimes have a hard time thinking of new ideas for dinner. I'm not a fan of the same thing week after week. Luckily my wonderful husband never minds. I found this recipe on YouTube. It's pretty good and pretty easy. It's from Betty's Kitchen and her recipes are delicious. You can find the recipe  here. I might make this a weekly post calling it What's for Dinner. What do you think?

Birthday Cake

Two weeks ago I made this birthday cake for my cousin. It came out really good, that I wanted to share it with you. It's called too much chocolate cake and you can find the recipe here. My niece also bought a cake from the grocery store but guess which one went first :)

CVS Clearance goodies

I went to my local CVS and bought these items at 75% off. I only bought the makeup. The Olay I wanted to post a pic of because it's also on clearance in case anyone wanted to know. I did buy the microdermabrasion kit at 50% off so I paid $15 for mine. I'm really liking the Revlon powders I heard they were dupes for MAC MSF's. . I'm hoping to also get the Revlon color stay eyeliner in Pewter and Teal those are on clearance as well. Did you get anything from the CVS clearance sale?
