Maybelline Fuchsia Fresia Color Sensational Lipstick Swatch

Spring is in the air and so are the Limited Edition makeup items I keep seeing at drugstores. I'm not one for buying LE items because if I like the item I won't ever see it again so I tend to stay away from them. But I am a lipstick junkie and thus I must buy. So here is another swatch of Maybelline's Spring Color Sensational lipstick in Fuchsia Fresia. I cannot tell you how pigmented this lipstick is, you can see by the swatch that it's full of color and it's really creamy. The color reminds me of their nail polish in Orchids oh My which I have a NOTD here. This totally screams Spring and I am going to wear it now that my lips are returning back to normal.

AVON Shine Attract Lipstick Swatch Guava

It's been a while since I've tried anything from AVON and when I received an email with a free shipping code I jumped at the chance of ordering some things. I ordered this lipstick and one of their eyeshadow quads. This lipstick attracted my attention because I've had extremely dry dehydrated lips and it does claim to have a hydrating gloss. According to Avon, it glides on smoothly and it's infused with Vitamin E.

I purchased Guava since I'm on the coral kick and it looked nice on the brochure. When I swatched it I noticed that the color does not match the brochure (they never do). It's suppose to be a lip color wrapped in a clear gloss. Well to me it seems like a lip gloss period. The consistency is NOT goopy like a gloss is but it does go on really sheer. It's really shiny and it does feel moisturizing on the lips.
You can tell by my swatch how sheer it is. It has a fruity smell but nothing that over powers the lip stick/gloss. If you like sheer lipsticks then this is for you. I love the concept of this but it should be just a hydrating gloss because in my opinion it does not have the color pop of a lipstick.
