BareMinerals Light Show Swatches

I had been wanting the holiday palette from BareMinerals, I just did not know which one. There was Light Show and White Hot. I decided to go to the BareMinerals boutique to test them out. To my surprise White Hot was only sold at Ulta and Sephora. After buying the Light Show on my way out I stopped at Macy's and saw White Hot and was glad I had chosen Light Show. It was $39.00 but it just so happened that they were having their friends and family sale and I got an extra 20% off of that. I also had to buy their new bareminerals ready foundation (I will review that later).

Light Show has 4 eyeshadows, 1 blush, 1 bronzer, 1 small eyeliner and one small lipgloss.

The eyeshadows are Spotlight a shimmery white, Flash a matte plum color, dazzle a shimmery green/turquoise color and flicker a shimmery coppery color.

The blush is a light pink that can be layered for a darker color and the bronzer can also be layered for a more intensified look. I was afraid the bronzer was going to be on the orange side and it is not.

The eyeliner in 10 pm is a dark brown which complements the shadows and the lipgloss is a shimmery nude color.

The value cannot be beat. Their pressed eyeshadows are good quality and last when you put a primer on. I'm not a huge fan of their loose powder bronzers so hopefully this does not turn orange on my skin. I have to admit that I am just not a big fan of loose pigments. I jumped on the mineral bandwagon a couple of years ago, but hated the whole lose concept. I'm glad that they are now pressing their makeup. I wish everyday minerals would do the same.

This can be easily taken on a trip and you would have everything to create a daytime look and a smokey look for night time.

Allure Holiday Box Lip Products

Here are the lip products and one nail polish that came in the Allure holiday beauty box. I also have swatches of the lip products. This box was worth the price. They are getting a little more expensive but this one was not a bad price. It did come with two face products and other things.

The lip colors and products are: Maybelline color sensational high shine lip gloss in Mochamazing, Neutrogena revitalizing lip balm SPF 20 in healthy blush, NYX glam lipstick aqua luxe in 06 Lotus, and Pixi lip and line in Peony Pretty. The nail polish is from Station in Front row slasher.

Physicians Formula PH Matchmaker Blush Review & Swatches

Physicians Formula has let me down in a couple of recent purchases and to be honest I thought this one was going to be another one of those items. I was pleasantly surprised to find this was a good purchase if worn sparingly. I'll get to that a little later. I bought it at CVS on sale for like 40% off and it had a coupon attached to it. It was not a bad deal at all. I picked up the color Natural 7559. According to the package it instantly matches you in 60 seconds. It has a 14 hour wear and it has a PH power complex to transform into your perfectly personalized hue. One cool feature it has is that the compact lights up with LED lights. So in case you want to touch up at night you now have light.
So in other words it's going to be the perfect match for your skin tone every time you apply it. And if you apply it on someone else the effect will be different. OK, so let's try it and see the verdict.

It has some shimmer to it on the outside edges but once that is gone the blush is a little shimmery but not too much you don't really notice it. It has no smell which is nice. I applied it with a MAC blush brush. I did not know how it was going to adapt to my skin tone so I applied it very lightly. And with the first application it was very natural. I guess it matches it's name Natural. To be honest, I did not see it change color from the way it was on my hand to the application on my cheek. I swatched it on my hand various ways, lightly and a a heavier swatch as well. The pic of my hand is a heavier swatch. In my opinion it's just like any blush you put on. If you want to look like a clown you will over apply blush, no matter what color it is. But if you apply it lightly it will look good. I do like this blush very much and for the price you can't beat it. Every blush will look different on everyone just like a foundation and concealer will. It did last an 8 hour day but I did not test the 14 hour wear that it claims to have. It's a very natural pink blush that I do think will look good on everyone. Just be careful when applying it, I do think that it has the potential of looking too pink form some skin tones, especially the lighter ones.
I'm curious to try their matchmaker powder.

Maybelline Limited Edition Spring Lipstick Swatches

I love Limited Edition drug store makeup. Maybelline has to be one of my favorites. For Spring they always come out with pastels and pretty colors. The display had some blushes, eyeshadows, lipsticks and nail polishes. The eyeshadows seem to be the baked type and according to the pic seem pretty pigmented. Unfortunatly I've had a bad experience with color payoff with Maybelline blushes and eyeshadows.

I saw these two lipsticks and they caught my eye.  I bought Tigerlily Treat 30, and Coral Carnation 10. Tigerlilly Treat is a beautiful pinky purple color on the cool toned side. When I put it on it looked more purple on my lips than pink.

My favorite is Coral Carnation. You can see by the swatch that it looks like a reddish orange. On my lips it looked more orange. I can't wear these out yet because my lips have been severely chapped for a month UGH! I had to have them even if I'm not able to wear them just yet. I'm also hoping to purchase the two pastel nail polishes they have. Are you looking forward to any Spring Collections?

Allure Beauty Box

Well, I received my beauty box and I have to say I am very happy that I purchased it. Yes, it was more money but it was well worth it. This post is going to be picture heavy. I had been wanting to buy the Benefit Porefessional and now I can try it. I was really excited about the skin care. I love ROC moisturizers and I'm also eager to try the ROC primer. The SUKI eye cream I'm also eager but when I saw the consistency I was not to thrilled. I need something really moisturizing and this does not seem that way. There were some acne products and since my skin is behaving right now these are probably going to my nieces. I LOVE the NYX soft matte cream lipstick in Istanbul and the Buxom Gloss in Debbie. I also took a swatch of the colors. The eye shadows I'm not sure I can wear. Lastly the Orly nail polish in Coquette Cutie looks like the perfect pink for summer.
Did you buy the Allure Beauty Box? What was your favorite item?
