Revlon Gucci Westman Summer 2012 Escapism Cream Blush Coral Reef

I saw this at my local CVS and knew that I had to have it. This is from the Summer 2012 Gucci Westman Escapism collection. The packaging does not say limited edition but I doubt it's permanent. Since orange/coral is the color of the year this would be perfect for Spring and Summer. I love the packaging, it's not bulky at all and sleek enough to put in your makeup bag. It does not have a scent to it but the price is a little steep for a drugstore cream blush. Retail at CVS was $13.50, yes I know but I got $4 bucks back so it was about $9. I guess not too bad, oh and I also had a $2 off coupon so in the end it was about $8. Not too bad. I have not worn it but I did swatch it and it's sheer enough for a gorgeous wash of coral. I'm sure that you can build it up to be darker, I might use this on my lips as well. They did have other cream blush colors but this one is the one that caught my eye. There was also a new bronzer, a highlighter and some nail polishes as well with this collection. The blush is creamy and easy to blend. Enjoy!

Fifty Shades of Dissapointment

Yes, I did it. I jumped on the bandwagon and read the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy by E.L. James. By the end of the first book I was Fifty Shades Intrigued, by book two I was Fifty Shades Excited, by book three I was Fifty Shades of WTHeck......I will try not to give any spoilers out but darnit why couldn't the author have put a little bit more thought to the end of the series??? I soooo wanted to not like this especially after I heard it's a wanna be Twilight series. But I thought wait, Twilight is not about BDSM unless I missed something and Edward is not a billionaire who is an obsessive controller who likes submissives. Or is he? If you don't know what BDSM is look it up, I want to keep my blog friendly :)Well whatever the case I wanted to read it. And I liked it but don't know what the fascination is all about. Do I want a billionaire boyfriend heck yes (don't tell my hubby he knows that I'll leave him only for George Clooney). Do I want to be flown on helicopters, of course. Do I want my every whim granted, who wouldn't. But do I want my rich billionaire boyfriend to hit me with a belt because it makes him feel better, well hmmm I don't know but I don't think so. Or do I??? Let me tell you that Fifty AKA Christin is HOT...Ana is ok and by the end of the book I wanted her to play harder to get, have a little spine, show some dignity. Don't get me wrong I AM A HUGE FAN OF THE SERIES, but I totally wanted the ending to be different. A friend said that, "the author was in a rush to get to the bank to cash the check before everyone realized the writing was crap"! I can agree with her. Now, the books are going to be made into a movie. Yes a movie....People want Ryan Gosling to play Fifty and I can see that but it's not my choice. I can however, see Christian Bale playing Fifty. He's proven to be one crazy hot guy in American Psycho so why not a controlling, dominating billionaire?????
Please don't be discouraged read the book the intimate parts are not that bad and there is a love story to it and it's intriguing.

Review Salma Hayek Nuance Tinted Moisturizer

I had been wanting a tinted moisturizer from the Drugstore and I thought I was never going to be able to find the right one. I had tried Physician's Formula but the color was always too pink and not yellow enough for my skin tone so it always went back. I'm usually an NC40 but recently I am as light as an NC35. I wanted something that was not going to be a hassle. I usually wear moisturizer, then primer then my foundation but my skincare routine is a little more complicated than that. But anyway, I just wanted to be able to put it on after washing my face without all the extra steps that I do. I bought it at CVS about two months ago and I love it.

The packaging says it's Oil free, sheer coverage delivers a healthy, radiant glow for all skin types. It's also fragrance free, paraben free, noncomedogenic, hypoallregenic and dermatologist tested and they do not test on animals. I purchased the Light/Medium 250.

First of all IT HAS NO SHIMMER. YAY. It does look dewy if you don't powder it but that's about it. It does not cake to any fine lines and it does not leave dry patches. Another good thing is does not have any scent to it and the packaging is of a tube. Retail is $13.99 but you can get it on sale and at times there's coupons around. I think after ECBbucks I paid like $5.00.
The only bad thing is that it has very little coverage. If you don't have problematic skin or blemishes to cover then this is perfect for you. Even for oily skin this is a good choice as long as you powder. Another bad thing is that it does not have an SPF but you can see this as good or bad. As good, if your not out in the sun and want to take pictures it will photograph well. But if you are going out then use a SPF under this. I have no problem with the color or tone, it really does blend into the skin and it is yellow based which is perfect for me. This is perfect for the Spring with a little concealer and powder your good to go. I'd repurchase when this one is done.

Splurge VS Steal Estee Lauder VS Maybelline

I'm always on the look out of a good Splurge VS Steal. There are many that claim they are good enough to be compared but they are always lacking something. The color might be right but the staying power is not and so on. I think I might have found a good one here. I'm comparing Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-place shadow creme with Maybelline's Color Tattoo 24hr eyeshadow. I've had the Estee Lauder for a while and just got the color tattoo a month ago. I was arranging my creme eyeyshadows when I noticed that these might be similar.
The Estee Lauder color is 05 Vintage Violet and the Maybelline is 30 Pomegranate Punk.

When I swatched the colors on my arm after one minute they would both NOT budge. They really have staying power. I've tried both separately and I must say that in the end they come close but Estee Lauder stays more true to the color than the Maybelline color tattoo. But both are pretty good eyeshadows. I'm comparing the color, staying power and the price. You can buy the Estee Lauder Double Wear online here or at your local department store for $18.50. Maybelline color tattoo can be bought at any drugstore for about $7.00.

Estee Lauder's consistency is really creamy and this color is gorgeous. It's a true shimmery deep purple. It has little gold flecks thru it and I love this color. My favorite way to apply this is with my finger and then I blend, blend, blend. My eyelids are really oily and usually need primer but not with this. It does stay on for 8 hours without fading. The staying power is excellent. The price is a little steep but I think I'm going to have this for a while as it seems a little goes a long way. I've had it for about six months and so far no signs of drying out.

Maybelline's consistency can be described as a little more grainy. The color is not an exact dupe of the Estee Lauder because this one more on the copper side and the gold flecks are more larger and the shimmer is more noticeable with Pomegranate Punk. You can tell how close the color comparison is in the picture where they are on my fingertips. You can also tell the creamier consistency of Estee Lauder. The color stays on for about 6 hours and begins to fade by the end of the day. It's not completely gone but I did notice fading. You can't beat the price especially when you get them at BOGO like I did.

In the end, they are both incredibly similar and if your on a budget you must try the color tattoo. However if you want to splurge Estee Lauder is the way to go and it will last you forever.

Physicians Formula PH Matchmaker Blush Review & Swatches

Physicians Formula has let me down in a couple of recent purchases and to be honest I thought this one was going to be another one of those items. I was pleasantly surprised to find this was a good purchase if worn sparingly. I'll get to that a little later. I bought it at CVS on sale for like 40% off and it had a coupon attached to it. It was not a bad deal at all. I picked up the color Natural 7559. According to the package it instantly matches you in 60 seconds. It has a 14 hour wear and it has a PH power complex to transform into your perfectly personalized hue. One cool feature it has is that the compact lights up with LED lights. So in case you want to touch up at night you now have light.
So in other words it's going to be the perfect match for your skin tone every time you apply it. And if you apply it on someone else the effect will be different. OK, so let's try it and see the verdict.

It has some shimmer to it on the outside edges but once that is gone the blush is a little shimmery but not too much you don't really notice it. It has no smell which is nice. I applied it with a MAC blush brush. I did not know how it was going to adapt to my skin tone so I applied it very lightly. And with the first application it was very natural. I guess it matches it's name Natural. To be honest, I did not see it change color from the way it was on my hand to the application on my cheek. I swatched it on my hand various ways, lightly and a a heavier swatch as well. The pic of my hand is a heavier swatch. In my opinion it's just like any blush you put on. If you want to look like a clown you will over apply blush, no matter what color it is. But if you apply it lightly it will look good. I do like this blush very much and for the price you can't beat it. Every blush will look different on everyone just like a foundation and concealer will. It did last an 8 hour day but I did not test the 14 hour wear that it claims to have. It's a very natural pink blush that I do think will look good on everyone. Just be careful when applying it, I do think that it has the potential of looking too pink form some skin tones, especially the lighter ones.
I'm curious to try their matchmaker powder.
